The Robot, back in the dining room late Halloween night. I decided I would take a break from building before installing the CSS, motors, actuators and all. I was not very happy with the temporary arm mounts I made that afternoon, but did not want my Robot sitting with big empty sockets before I completed his innerds. The next day I began re-working a way to mount the arms. I needed a way that put the center of gravity far more forward and also did not occupy too much space inside and also allow waist rotation. I came up with what I call "the scorpions".
Installing 'the Scorpions'
Once in place the angle is adjusted and a piece of wood is fastened to the back that extends vertically and is wedged under the lip of the torso beneath the collar. That holds them in place and keeps them from tipping.
